This isn’t really related to acupuncture, oriental medicine, or western medicine.
Last Tuesday, October 15, 2013, the Philippines was hit by an earthquake. The epicenter was Tagbilaran City in the province of Bohol.
Tagbilaran is home to some of my best friends in the world.
Dr. Jefferson Ong is also an physician and acupuncturist practicing in Cebu and Tagbilaran. He and his family are active in the community and he recently sent me this message:
Hi Philip. Just an update. Terrible devastation in the interior towns. Some barangays still cut-off from supplies of food and water.
Any financial help will be appreciated. New shipments of food are arriving tomorrow.
For those interested in donating money to Dr. Ong, please do so at this bank account: BPI#9315-8031-84 Jefferson Ong
Also from my other good friend, Dr. Kazan Baluyot. Dr. Baluyot was my roommate for years while studying in the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He is currently practicing in Tagbilaran. His mother runs a foundation called the Philippine Gift of Life.
Donations are accepted at the bank account of the same name: PNB Tagbilaran, 233138900026 may use swift code MTHMM
